Unlock more land for housing through better planning and infrastructure investment

Building better communities starts with planning for Queensland’s growth. That means unlocking land in the right places and investing to fast-track essential water, sewerage, stormwater, power, telecommunications and transport infrastructure.

With housing demand consistently outpacing supply, it’s never been more important to address barriers to providing Queenslanders with a diverse range of housing options that meet their needs.

We're unlocking well-located land by investing in critical infrastructure at a pace and scale to support the construction of more homes across the state.

Unlocking more land for housing is a key priority in delivering practical housing solutions that increase supply, improve affordability and expand housing choice.

Delivering essential infrastructure, faster

We are fast-tracking the essential infrastructure needed to build more homes sooner. This will deliver more connected, liveable and resilient communities across Queensland.

Growing our regions

Queensland’s regions have unique strengths, opportunities, identities and lifestyles. That’s why our planning approach is not one-size-fits-all.

We’re delivering more infrastructure aligned with projected growth, economic opportunities and local priorities to ensure our regions grow well and maintain liveability while accommodating our growing state.
