Ensuring the social housing system is fair and equitable

We are strengthening our tenancy management approach to support those who need it most.

We’re ensuring that:

• public housing tenancies and rents are regularly reviewed,
• tenants live in homes that continue to meet their needs and bedroom entitlements, and
• there are clear expectations around managing antisocial behaviour in public housing.

Tenancy and rent reviews

In July 2025, we recommenced annual tenancy and rent reviews for public housing tenants, making sure public housing meets the needs of tenants, and that rent is fair based on income.

Antisocial behaviour policy

We’ve introduced a new Antisocial Behaviour policy making changes to the way we manage behaviour at public housing properties, to support peaceful neighbourhoods, including ending tenancies where antisocial behaviour persists.
